Alpha Lipoic acid has the ability to regenerate blood vessels and liver cells. It's important to take B-vitamins with it, because ALA depletes them. This supplement appears to help skin to heal, and it is considered to be very helpful to people with Diabetes and Liver disease. I'm going to give some to my cat (a very small amount) to his liver.
